Our Mission Statement:
To encourage all people to gather Easter Sunday morning to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our living Savior.
Our Statement of Faith:
We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord and Savior. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to hell and on the third day He rose again.
We believe that He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father almighty and that He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, and the resurrection of believers to eternal life with our Lord in Heaven.
The Lizard Butte Easter Sunrise Association consists of a group of believers from a variety of churches across the Treasure and Snake River valleys who have banded together to continue the long-standing tradition of an annual sunrise service on Lizard Butte. We are a non-denominational association with no formal affiliation to any particular church or denomination.
The association board members meet 3-4 times each year to plan the details of the annual Easter morning worship.
